Repair Terms of Service

Thank you for choosing FlexiDesk for your device repair needs. By using our repair services for phones, tablets, and computers, you agree to the following Terms of Service:

1. Services Provided

FlexiDesk offers repair services for various devices, including but not limited to:

Phones | Tablets | Laptops | Desktops

Repairs may include, but are not limited to, screen replacements, battery replacements, hardware diagnostics, software installations, and other necessary maintenance or repair services.

2. Diagnostic Fee

A non-refundable diagnostic fee may be applied if no repair is completed or if the device is deemed irreparable. This fee will be communicated before any work begins.

Where a device is collected and returned without any repair being undertaken, a fee of £20 will be applied to cover transportation and handling costs. This fee is separate from any diagnostic fees.

3. Repair Authorization

By providing your device for repair, you authorise FlexiDesk to perform necessary diagnostic and repair procedures. If additional repairs or replacement parts are required that were not initially agreed upon, we will contact you for authorisation before proceeding.

4. Data Responsibility

FlexiDesk is not responsible for data loss. It is the customer’s responsibility to back up all data before the repair process. While we take all precautions to protect your data, FlexiDesk is not liable for any lost, damaged, or corrupted data during the repair process.

5. Replacement Parts

All replacement parts used in the repair process are either original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts or high-quality aftermarket parts. FlexiDesk will inform customers of the type of parts being used and obtain approval before the repair.

Please note: FlexiDesk cannot be held liable if the installation of non-OEM parts voids the original manufacturer’s warranty. It is the customer’s responsibility to review their warranty terms before proceeding with repairs involving non-OEM components.

6. Repair Timeframes

Repair times vary depending on the complexity of the issue and the availability of replacement parts. We strive to complete repairs within the agreed timeframe but are not responsible for delays due to unforeseen circumstances.

7. Limited Warranty

FlexiDesk offers a limited 6-month warranty on parts and labour for repairs performed by us. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship but does not cover:

Damage resulting from improper use, neglect, or external causes (e.g., water damage, physical impact)
Unauthorized repairs or modifications
Issues unrelated to the original repair

If a defect occurs within the warranty period, we will repair or replace the defective part free of charge. Proof of repair is required for warranty claims. The warranty is void if the device shows signs of tampering or if repairs were performed by another service provider.

8. Exclusions from Warranty

The warranty does not cover:

Normal wear and tear
Software issues
Battery degradation over time
Damage caused by viruses, malware, or other software-related issues
9. Liability Limitation

FlexiDesk is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data or income, resulting from the repair or use of the device. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the repair.

10. Payment Terms

Payment is required prior to any repair being undertaken. However, if the repair is not possible, FlexiDesk will issue an appropriate refund based on the circumstances and the work already performed.

11. Abandoned Devices

Devices left unclaimed for more than 30 days after completion of the repair may be considered abandoned. FlexiDesk reserves the right to dispose of or recycle abandoned devices to recover costs.

12. Customer Communication

All communication regarding the repair process, including updates and completion notices, will be sent via the contact information provided at the time of service. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that FlexiDesk has up-to-date contact information.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms will be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts located in Preston, UK.

14. Changes to Terms

FlexiDesk reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. Continued use of our services after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
